The Judicial Service\r\nCommission (JSC) has promoted a total of 58 judicial officers across the\r\ncountry in a bid to improve the administration of justice in the country.
The promotion was done in\r\naccordance with article 148 of the constitution that empowers the JSC to do its\r\nwork of recruiting and disciplining errant judicial officers. The commission is\r\nheaded by Hon. Justice James Ogoola.
According to a December 2,\r\n2015 statement from the Judicial Service Commission, most of the beneficiaries\r\nhave been elevated to the different ranks of; Deputy Registrars, Assistant\r\nRegistrars, Chief Magistrates, and to Senior Principal Magistrate Grade Ones.
These promotions were as a\r\nresult of a series of meetings that were held by the members of JSC on November\r\n24 and 30 this year.
